Corporate filmConceptScriptingProductionPost-production
Still from IHH Healthcare Malaysia's corporate film, three generations of a family at home

The challenge

Eighteen hospitals. Fifteen thousand staff. A network that has been looking after Malaysians for decades.

None of that is easy to feel. The corporate film has to work for patients, doctors, investors, staff and partners at once, and the easiest way to cover all five is a list: specialists, equipment, buildings, accreditations.

IHH asked for a film that made the network feel like a person rather than an organisation.

The challenge was how to make a network feel like a person.

The strategy

A network across a lifetime

We started with the most powerful thing healthcare actually does: care for people across time.

A healthcare network is measured by the moments it shows up for a family, across years, across generations. The newborn delivered at one IHH hospital. The parents treated decades later at another. The grandparents looked after by the same network their grandchildren now turn to.

That became the film. Generations of Care is about how IHH’s hospitals show up across a family’s lifetime, told through real moments that move from one generation to the next.

How we made it

  • Snapshots of a lifeThe film is built around moments from each stage of life
  • CastingMulticultural and multi-generational, matching the Malaysians IHH actually treats
  • The lookNatural and cinematic, lit with natural, everyday light
  • The facilitiesRobotic rehab, emergency care, patient wards and the international lounge sit behind the moments rather than in front of them, so the network’s range comes across without anyone reading it out

The outcome

Scale, made personal

The film became IHH Healthcare Malaysia’s anchor corporate communication, used across digital, social, public events, internal channels and stakeholder presentations.
